Our Airbnb host took us out for lunch at the Athanor, a small restaurant down the street. After the main course, I ordered a "Crumble aux Mirabelles"--a cherry plum crumble. The plums are local and crumbles have become a popular item on a dessert menu.

This is the "must d'été"--the must-have of summer: a pastry, chocolate, raspberry combination. This was the first pastry I bought.

Otto enjoyed this dessert in the same restaurant (Athanor) called a "parfait à la Chartreuse"--an ice cream made with a local liqueur. It was a delight--yes, he shared some with me.
